Warrants and Modification of Sentence

Outstanding Warrants for Northern and Southern Cases

You must come to the clerk's office in Redwood City for a Southern case, and South San Francisco for a Northern case, to request to be placed on calendar to surrender on the warrant. If you have an outstanding warrant, you must appear in person the day you want to be placed on calendar; you cannot request a future court date. If your case is a felony, it is advised that you phone the clerk's office in advance to confirm whether you need to add yourself to calendar, or if you are required to surrender to the jail. The clerk's office can be reached at (650) 261-5200.

To place yourself on calendar the same day, you must arrive at the clerk's office window no later than
8:15 a.m.

Modification of Sentence for Northern and Southern Cases

Misdemeanor cases: Requests for modification of sentence for defendants on court probation (not supervised probation) can be made by coming to the clerk's office* in Redwood City or by calling (650) 261-5200, to request that you be placed on calendar for modification of sentence. If you are on supervised (formal) probation, you must contact your probation officer to request a modification of probation. The Probation Department can be reached at (650) 363-4244.

Felony cases: Requests for modification of sentence for defendants on supervised (formal) probation must be handled through the probation department.
