How to Schedule Traffic Court Appearances
If you have to go to traffic court, you must schedule your court appearance in advance. Same-day walk-ins are not available. You may reserve a court date:
- over the phone with a court clerk .
- Traffic litigants with a Failure to Appear on their citation will no longer be given the option to appear on the Arraignment Calendar.
Reserve early as space is limited. Note that you do NOT have to deposit bail:
- when asking for an arraignment hearing, or
- when asking for a court trial at your arraignment.
Court Appearances with an Officer Present
Refer to the How to Take Care of your Traffic Citation/Ticket section of our website for more information if you wish to plead not guilty without appearing in person.
